Wellness: Joint care to keep you moving

Like a tire, the more use your hip or knee joint gets the faster it wears out. This apt analogy was shared by Adam English, RN and Joint Coordinator for Minnesota Center for Orthopaedics, in a recent KKIN Radio interview. He added that the average life of an artificial hip or knee joint is 20 to 25 years.

English works closely with orthopaedic surgery patients of Dr. Leo Chough and Dr. Erik Severson, in the pre-op and post-op phases of care. Both surgeons, who see patients at Riverwood’s specialty clinic in Aitkin, are highly experienced and skilled in performing hip and knee replacements with outstanding outcomes for patients.
