Riverwood Healthcare Center ranks among hospitals nationwide for cleanliness of hospital rooms according to data from recent patient surveys.
Becker’s Hospital Review announced a list of 43 hospitals for which 89 percent or more of patients reported on their HCAHPS surveys that their room and bathroom were “always” clean. Data were pulled from Hospital Compare for the period of April 2014 through March 2015.
For reference, the national average rate for patients reporting their room and bathroom were “always” clean is 74 percent. Other Minnesota hospitals included in the list were Bigfork Valley Hospital, Bigfork; CentraCare Health, Paynesville; and Stevens Community Medical Center, Morris.
“This is a great honor for Riverwood to be ranked among hospitals nationwide,” says Chad Cooper, Riverwood’s chief executive officer. “Our housekeeping, nursing and maintenance teams all play a part in ensuring that our hospital patient rooms are clean and orderly. Their outstanding dedication to keeping our facility looking immaculate enhances our patients’ experience every day.”
