Riverwood welcomes Nurse Practitioner Kathy Halbert

Riverwood Healthcare Center is pleased to announce that Kathy Halbert, family nurse practitioner, has joined its medical staff. Her practice will be dedicated primarily to seeing patients at the Riverwood Aitkin Clinic.

Halbert’s experience includes working as a family nurse practitioner in Onamia for the past few years and as a registered nurse at the Essentia Health St. Joseph’s Medical Center in Brainerd for 12 years, including five years as an endoscopy nurse.  She has earned both a bachelor’s degree and a master’s degree in nursing from the College of Scholastica, Duluth.

“We are excited to welcome Kathy to our medical provider staff,” said Cindi Baker, Riverwood chief operating officer. “Her extensive experience caring for patients from local rural communities is a huge asset.”

Halbert’s medical philosophy is: “I strive to give the best care by having direct and honest communication with and compassion for every patient.”

Halbert lives with her husband Eric and two daughters, Arianna and Harper, in the Brainerd area. She enjoys family activities and vacations and lots of outdoor activities, including gardening, walks, softball, kayaking, fishing and hunting.
