Riverwood Healthcare Center is pleased to announce the appointment of Christine Bright to its governing board of directors.
“On behalf of our governing board, I’m pleased to welcome Christine,” says Riverwood CEO Chad Cooper. “Her business and legal experience combined with an in-depth knowledge of the communities we serve are terrific assets that will serve Riverwood very well in the years to come.”
Bright is an attorney with Haberkorn Law Offices, Ltd., in Aitkin, where she has worked since September 2013. Prior to pursuing a law degree, she owned several small businesses in Hendersonville, North Carolina.
Born in Aitkin, Bright grew up here, graduating from Aitkin High School. Since moving back to Aitkin in 2013, she has been involved in the community as a volunteer at the Aitkin County Fair. She is a member of First Lutheran Church in Aitkin, where she is a small group leader for confirmation students and serves on the strategic planning and worship committees.
“We are very fortunate to have high quality health care available in our area and it is my privilege to serve on Riverwood’s Governing Board to do my part in continuing the strong tradition of service to the community,” Bright says. “My parents are Richard and Irene Bright, and I’m following in the footsteps of my mom who is a volunteer at the front desk of the hospital.”
Bright lives with husband, Dwight Marwede, in the Kimberly area of Aitkin County.
