In its 40th year, the Lights of Love program of the Riverwood Healthcare Center Auxiliary will honor and memorialize the loved ones of area residents this holiday season. This year’s ceremony will be held on Sun., Nov. 24, at 1:00 p.m. in the Aitkin clinic lobby.
The short program will include a musical selection and a reading of the scroll listing all those who have been honored or memorialized this year. Honorary Lights of Love Chair Carla Hakes will flip the switch that lights the Christmas tree in the lobby.
Following the program, the Auxiliary will serve light refreshments. The Lights of Love scroll of names will be displayed next to trees in the lobbies until the end of the year.
Lights that decorate the Christmas tree can be purchased for a minimum donation of $5 in honor or in memory of someone. Downl0ad the Lights of Love donation form. The forms will also be available for pick up in Riverwood’s hospital in the main lobby and its cafeteria.
Money raised will be used to fund special needs at Riverwood.
