Virtual seminar: Learn how to care for your mental health

Mental health plays a big role in the well-being of all of us. Like your physical health, there are things you can do to make yourself mentally healthier.

Riverwood Healthcare Center is offering a “Taking Care of Your Mental Health” virtual seminar on Wed., May 17, with a start time of 12:10 p.m. A 20-minute presentation by four Riverwood Behavioral Health professionals will be followed by a robust question-and-answer session. Participants can submit a question with their registration or via the chat function during the program.

The presenters will include Janet Larson and Liz Thompson, psychiatric mental health nurse practitioners, and Kirstiane Bilyeu and Tim Markgraf, licensed independent clinical social workers. They will also talk about self-care and how specific activities and practices can help you take care of your mental well-being. They will also address mental health problems that stop a person from functioning well or feeling good and how professional help can make a big difference.
