Enjoy an evening of fine dining with a “Back to the 50s” theme and live band, all to support health and healing in Aitkin and surrounding communities.
Join Riverwood Healthcare for its annual Riverwood Gala on Saturday, September 17, at the 40 Club Convention Center in Aitkin. This event, which begins at 5:30 p.m., will feature fine dining with a wide variety of delicious entrees, side dishes, beverages and desserts. See invitation.
Entertaining gala guests will be the Holy Rocka Rollaz, a 3-piece high energy trio band from Minneapolis that plays rock ‘n roll music from the 1950’s. Adding to the fun of the evening will be silent and live auctions and games of chance.
Individual tickets are $85. A variety of sponsorship opportunities are available as well.
Proceeds from the event will be used to purchase high quality, long-lasting hospital bed mattresses that have a number of patient-friendly features.
“With hospital patients spending nearly 100 percent of their time in bed, an excellent mattress is vital,” explains Kristine Layne, Riverwood chief nursing officer. “The IsoFlex mattress, which Riverwood will be purchasing, is designed to relieve pressure and reduce the risk of skin ulcers while supporting better sleep—all essential elements in the healing process. Together, donors to this cause can help us significantly enhance the comfort for hospital patients.”
Katie Nelson, Foundation director, adds, “With a Back to the 50’s theme, we are encouraging guests to dress in clothing from that era. If you are unable to attend the gala, please consider making a tax-deductible donation. Each year generous support from local businesses and individual donors plays a huge role in the success of this fun-filled event.”
