Brandon Reynolds, MD, Urologist
Riverwood Healthcare Center is pleased to introduce Brandon Reynolds, MD, a urologist who will see patients at the specialty clinic in Aitkin.
Dr. Reynolds will offer the full spectrum of clinical urology services for men and women, including medical and surgical management of kidney stones, incontinence, prostate enlargement, no-needle/no-scalpel vasectomy, overactive bladder, and male genital problems. In addition, he treats cancers of the prostate, bladder, and kidney.
“We are thrilled to welcome Dr. Reynolds with his years of experience and state-of-the-art urology expertise,” said Riverwood CEO Todd Sandberg. “His surgical skills will enable us to offer some new advanced procedures and keep patients closer to home for their care.”
Many of the surgeries Dr. Reynolds performs are done with minimally invasive techniques including endoscopic, microscopic, laparoscopic, or robotic-assisted methods. The benefits for patients are less pain and faster recovery.
“I was attracted to the northern Minnesota area first because of its abundant natural beauty,” said Dr. Reynolds. “What drew me professionally was the progressive, dynamic, forward-thinking and efficient medical institutions at Riverwood and CRMC. The partnership between these two health centers is unique and they appear to be genuinely happy places to live and practice medicine.”
For the past 10 years, Dr. Reynolds has practiced at the Urology Clinic of Utah Valley/Summit Urology Group in American Fork, Utah. Previously, he worked in a private urology practice with his father, William F. Reynolds, in Glendale, Calif., for four years.
Dr. Reynolds earned his medical degree from the University of Iowa College of Medicine, completing his residency in Urology and an internship in General Surgery at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. His undergraduate degree is from Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah. He is an active member of the American Urological Association.
Dr. Reynolds and wife Allyson, an Iowa native, have four children, three daughters and one son, ages 12 to 22. The family loves the outdoors and is looking forward to exploring our north woods area, including hiking and backpacking plus fun on the water.
