Riverwood Healthcare Center has recently added three pharmacists at its Aitkin hospital, including Andrea Agre, Ryan Friesen and Hannah Stephenson.

Andrea Agre had served as an inpatient clinical pharmacist for Riverwood before moving to the newly expanded surgery wing to staff the satellite pharmacy.

Agre brings 17 years of experience in retail and critical access hospital pharmacy. She obtained her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the North Dakota State University School of Pharmacy.

She and her husband, John, have three children. Together, they enjoy biking and soccer in the summer and curling in the winter. Agre serves as youth coordinator for the Brainerd Lakes Curling Association.

Ryan Friesen and Hannah Stephenson are inpatient clinical pharmacists who prepare and dispense prescription medications for Riverwood hospital patients.

As a clinical pharmacist, Friesen has more than 10 years of experience in both critical care and emergency medicine. He earned his Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy in Boston and completed a Bachelor of Science degree in biology and biotechnology from Minot State University in North Dakota and Fitchburg State University in Massachusetts.

He and his wife, Staci, have two children. They enjoy being active outdoors as a family.

Stephenson earned her Bachelor of Science in Pharmaceutical Sciences and Doctor of Pharmacy degrees from the University of Tennessee Health Science Center in Memphis.

A native of Arkansas, she recently moved to the area and enjoys outdoor activities and traveling.

Inpatient clinical pharmacists play a key role in providing safe and appropriate medication to patients across Riverwood. They collaborate with other health care professionals to ensure patients receive high quality, personalized care.
