The Riverwood patient experience sparks gratitude

At Riverwood Healthcare Center, we continue to be grateful for our patients and staff. Here we share our reasons why.

Megan Workman, Certified Nurse Midwife

The heart of Riverwood lies within our patients and staff. During this pandemic staff and patients have shown resilience, remarkable collaboration, innovation and a sense of community as we all come together to provide compassion and care for one another. Sometimes accomplishing what is seen as impossible and turning it into possible. As we approach the holiday season, Riverwood Healthcare offers our sincere and deepest appreciation for all those who have used or provided our services.

“I am thankful to the people who place their trust in us every day for their care or the care of their loved ones.,” said David Taylor, Chief Medical Officer. “Our Riverwood team routinely goes above and beyond to ensure that our patients receive both the very best care and an outstanding patient experience.”

Dr. Tony Blankers, Family Physician

Stories from our patients inspire us daily and continue to strengthen our mission, vision and values as we approach another day. Here are some of the stories and what makes Riverwood such a special place for our patients and staff:

  • Wonderful hospital, best in the area.  Top-ranked in many areas.  Quality doctors and specialty providers.
  • I recently moved to the Aitkin community.  Unfortunately, I had some issues with my health.  Between the ER, clinic providers & surgery staff I was overwhelmed with their care, compassion, and kindness.  I am very impressed!  Thank you for taking such good care of me.
  • The hospital, staff, nurses and doctors are exceptional!  Very thankful to have this facility in our community!
  • Thank you for all you are doing to keep our patients safe, we are so grateful for the staff at the McGregor Clinic.
  • I am so thankful that our hospital can do the latest, non-invasive surgery to correct my condition. Five years ago I would either be in severe distress continually or traveling to a large metro facility.  Go Aitkin!!
  • I love this facility.  It was three years ago your physical therapy department helped me with recovery of a knee arthroscopic.  TOPNOTCH!
  • They were all so very kind and thoughtful while I was being taking care of. I’d tell everyone they should go there, great people. Thank you!
  • We want to thank everyone who helped care for our little baby and deliver him safely. Let’s just say if somehow we win the lotto, you will all be getting a big tip! One day when he is old enough we will be able to tell him how kind you all were! We truly appreciate each and every one of you and I’m sure baby boy did as well.

Orthopaedic Nurse Practitioner Josh Jacobson

“We are so proud and extremely grateful for our care providers and all of our compassionate employees who are dedicated to the highest standards of care for our patients,” said Interim CEO Cindi Baker. “Healthcare is personal. Making a difference in someone’s life is a rare privilege and a profound responsibility.”
