Riverwood Healthcare Center is pleased to welcome Len Gross as its new Director of Human Resources.
A seasoned healthcare leader, Gross brings more than 20 years of experience spanning human resources, clinic management, and hospital operations. He holds a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) certification and earned an Associate of Science degree in Earth Sciences, a Bachelor of Science degree in Geology and Geophysics, and a Master of Business Administration in Finance and Business.
In this key leadership role, Gross will oversee Riverwood’s human resources functions, ensuring legal compliance, fostering a positive work culture, and aligning HR strategy with the organization’s overall mission and goals. He will also serve as a member of the management team, partnering with facility leadership to support staff development and organizational success.
“My approach to HR leadership is anchored in three key principles: transparency, creating a shared vision, and accountability,” said Gross. “I believe when people understand where an organization is headed, feel connected to its mission, and are empowered to contribute, great things happen for both employees and those we serve.”
According to Gross, building strong relationships and fostering a positive workplace culture are central to effective leadership.
“Healthcare is ultimately about people,” he said. “Creating an environment where employees feel valued, supported, and heard enables them to provide the best possible care and service to our patients and communities.”
Originally drawn to Minnesota by a passion for fishing, Gross now enjoys an active life with his wife, Lori. Together, they raise their 10-year-old granddaughter and spend much of their time supporting her school and sports activities. Outside of family life, he enjoys fitness, long-distance running, traveling, and fishing.
