Susan Zelenak
Sr. HR Generalist
Riverwood Healthcare is pleased to welcome Susan Zelenak as senior human resources generalist to its staff.
In this role, Zelenak will support Riverwood’s team with a variety of HR projects and functions, including employee relations, recruitment of new talent, legal compliance, and leave management. In short, she will build relationships to implement best practices in support of Riverwood business objectives.
Zelenak is an accomplished human resource professional with over 20 years of experience. She has worked in both the private and public sectors, including manufacturing companies and most recently for Itasca County.
A graduate of Aitkin High School, Zelenak completed a Bachelor of Business Administration degree with a concentration in Human Resources at the University of Minnesota, Duluth. She holds a Senior Human Resources Professional Certification.
“Throughout my career I have brought a considerate, logical approach to problem solving and project management,” Zelenak said. “I consider myself to be a positive professional who contributes to the success of the entire team. I’m happy to join the Riverwood team and return to the Aitkin community.”
Zelenak and her husband Brad, of 28 years have four children, Luke, Jake, Anna and Greta. Away from work, she enjoys camping, kayaking, watching movies, traveling, and has tried her hand at golfing and curling as well.
