Riverwood Healthcare Center is pleased to announce that Jason Brunko, PharmD, has joined its pharmacy team as Pharmacy Manager at the Aitkin Pharmacy located in Paulbeck’s. Brunko brings extensive experience and a strong commitment to patient-centered care to his new role.
Brunko graduated from Fergus Falls High School in 1989. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Wisconsin–River Falls in 2008 and completed his Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) at the University of Minnesota Twin Cities in 2013.
Brunko began his career as a Pharmacy Manager at Walgreens before moving to Essentia Health as a pharmacist. In 2020, he joined Riverwood Healthcare and played a key role in opening the Aitkin Pharmacy alongside Spencer Page.
Specializing in community pharmacy, Brunko follows a guiding principle: “treat patients like family.” He is passionate about building relationships and ensuring every patient receives personalized, compassionate care.

Outside of work, Brunko enjoys time with his wife, Sarah, and their daughters, Sabine, age 6, and Signy, age 4, along with their black lab, Inga. He loves raising his girls, training Inga, staying active in sports, and weightlifting.
Riverwood’s Aitkin Pharmacy at 171 Red Oak Drive in Aitkin is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. and weekends from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Services include free mail-out prescriptions, a drive-up window, organized medication packaging, and one-on-one medication management therapy.
