Riverwood welcomes new board member

Heather Hipp

Riverwood Healthcare Center is pleased to announce the appointment of Heather Hipp to the organization’s Governing Board of Directors.

“On behalf of our governing board, I’m happy to welcome Heather,” said Kathleen Ryan, Riverwood board chair. “Heather’s experience in finance along with her knowledge of education and local schools is a great addition to our organization. This firsthand knowledge is a terrific asset as we continue to build community partnerships.”

With a background in finance, Hipp has 22 years of experience working for local schools’ business offices, including 18 years for Isle Public Schools, one year for Sauk Rapids Rice Public Schools, and three years in her current job as business manager for Aitkin Public Schools. In addition to finance, she has gained experience with human resources, food service, transportation and facilities maintenance.

Hipp graduated from Bemidji State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting. She completed the Leadership Academy and Certification Program through the Minnesota Association of School Business Officials.

Hipp commented on her new leadership role: “I believe the Riverwood Healthcare system plays an important role in the community and am excited for the opportunity to be a part of it. I think my finance experience and connection with the school system will be beneficial while serving in this new role on Riverwood’s board.”

Growing up in Isle, Minn., Hipp lives there with her husband, Joe. She enjoys gardening, taking walks, reading, paddleboarding and time with family and friends.
