Riverwood Healthcare Center is pleased to announce that Johannah Orbeck has joined its Behavioral Health provider team as a behavioral health therapist. In this role she will assess, diagnose, and provide psychotherapy to individuals, age 18 and older.
Previously, Orbeck did waiver case management with Pinnacle Services for Ramsey County. Other work experience includes working as a social worker with Minneapolis Public Schools and as a mental health case manager intern with Ramsey County.
Growing up in the Mille Lacs Lake area, Orbeck graduated from McGregor High School. She earned a bachelor’s degree in social work from the University of Minnesota, Duluth, and a master’s degree in social work from the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul.
Orbeck describes her approach to patient care: “I aim to provide warm and compassionate care through holistic and trauma-informed approaches. I hope to empower people in fostering connection, community, and resiliency.”
She adds, “I’m happy to return to the area after completing my degrees and being closer to family as well. I look forward to getting to know my Riverwood team members and patients.”
Orbeck is a Minnesota Twins fan, has two cats, and enjoys the outdoors, including camping and running.
