Riverwood welcomes nurse practitioner Rebecca Knopik

Riverwood Healthcare Center is pleased to welcome Nurse Practitioner Rebecca Knopik, FNP-BC, to its Family Medicine team in Aitkin and Garrison.

Knopik joins the team as a core clinical partner, supporting patient care through appropriate visits, in‑basket management, preventive health services, and chronic disease management.

She earned her Master of Science in Nursing, Family Nurse Practitioner, from Frontier Nursing University in Versailles, Kentucky. She also holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Mount Mercy University in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and an Associate Degree in Nursing from Scott Community College in Davenport, Iowa. Her diverse clinical background includes experience in emergency medicine, obstetrics/gynecology, and more than nineteen years in home health care.

“My hope is to form collaborative partnerships with all my patients, ensuring their care aligns with their values and needs. I use compassion, evidence-based practices, and a holistic perspective to help people achieve their best outcomes,” Knopik said of her approach to patient care.

Cindi Baker, Chief Operating Officer shares, “Rebecca brings a strong combination of clinical expertise, compassion, and a genuine commitment to patient centered care,” said Baker.  “Her broad experience and dedication to preventive health will enhance our Family Medicine team and support our mission to provide exceptional care for the patients and families we serve.”

Knopik and her husband—her best friend of more than 20 years—have a blended family of four grown children. Their home is full of pets, and they enjoy hiking with their dogs. In her free time, she grows native plants to support the local habitat and ecosystem. She and her husband also enjoy taking their boat out to fish or simply relaxing on the water.
