Riverwood Healthcare Center is pleased to announce that Ryan Anderson has been promoted to Director of Information Systems and Patient Access. In this role, he will continue to manage the Patient Access department and will oversee the Information Technology (IT) Clinical Informatics team. He will eventually support all the managers within the IT department.
Anderson brings 10 years of experience to working in healthcare at Riverwood. While attending college, he began working at Riverwood ago as a certified nursing assistant. After completing his college degrees, he was hired as a clinic scribe, then moved up to manage the Patient Access department.
A graduate of Aitkin High School, Anderson received his Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Arts degrees from the University of St. Thomas, St. Paul. He completed a Master of Science degree in Medical Ethics/Bioethics from the University of Mary in Bismarck, N.D. He is earning a Master of Business Administration degree with a focus in Healthcare Leadership from the University of St. Thomas with completion expected in May.
Anderson shares his passion for working in healthcare: “I believe everyone has a story and it’s important to take time with patients and listen to them with empathy and compassion. I am so grateful for this opportunity to focus on patient-centered care delivery from all aspects of the organization. Whether a patient is connecting with us via MyChart or in person, they should have the same exceptional experience!”
Anderson and his wife, Lindsey, have two children, Kolbe and Gianna, with another baby on the way in June 2025. He loves outdoor activities, including hunting and fishing, and most of all spending time with family and friends.
