Riverwood Healthcare Center is proud to celebrate its exceptional team, recognized with four awards at the Minnesota Hospital Association (MHA) Spring Innovation Forum Award Ceremony. These awards highlight Riverwood’s unwavering commitment to innovation, community engagement, and high-quality patient care.
Angela Harmon, RN, ED Supervisor, was honored with the Nursing Excellence Award for her outstanding leadership, compassion, and dedication to her patients. Angela’s continued pursuit of advanced practice as a Nurse Practitioner reflects her deep commitment to the field of medicine.
A catalyst for connection, creativity, and strategic storytelling—the Shining Stories Award went to Lisa Kruse, PR & Marketing Manager. Through her compelling narratives, Lisa brings Riverwood’s people and purpose to life through narratives that shine a spotlight on dedicated physicians and staff. Lisa has made it her mission to not only promote key service lines but to showcase the heart and soul of Riverwood—its people. Her impact extends far beyond our walls, with one of her stories even gaining national recognition from the American Society of Anesthesiologists.
The Community Collaboration Award went to Emma Arnold, Population Health Program Coordinator, for her leadership of the “Riverwood Connects” initiative. This program connects patients with essential local resources such as food, housing, and financial support, addressing critical social determinants of health and making a tangible difference in the lives of community members.
Dan Schletty, Director of Ambulatory Services, received the Hiring & Recruiting Award for his innovative leadership in launching Riverwood’s externship program. This initiative provides meaningful career pathways for future healthcare professionals while strengthening Riverwood’s workforce and addressing ongoing workforce challenges with creative solutions.
