Riverwood announces patient access manager

Riverwood Healthcare Center is pleased to announce the promotion of Stephanie Jacobs to patient access manager. In this role, Jacobs will oversee a team of 40 employees, managing admitting, scheduling, and registration.

With nearly 30 years of health care experience in northern Minnesota, Jacobs brings extensive expertise to her new leadership position. In 2013, she joined Riverwood’s billing department as a hospital patient account clerk and 10 years later was promoted to supervisor of the patient access department.

Jacobs is passionate about ensuring a seamless and compassionate patient experience. “Health care allows us to make a meaningful impact on people’s lives every day,” she said. “Ensuring that patients have smooth, efficient, and caring access to care is essential, and I am excited to lead a team dedicated to prioritizing patient well-being from the very first interaction.”

She also values Riverwood’s supportive work environment. “Riverwood feels like a family—where teamwork, respect, and compassion create an uplifting place for both patients and staff.”

In addition to her leadership role, Jacobs actively volunteers with Riverwood. She serves on the Riverwood Foundation’s board of directors and is chair of the Riverwood Roots employee giving club.
