Heather Molenda, Physical Therapist
Heather Molenda, physical therapist, has joined Riverwood Healthcare Center’s therapy services team.
Molenda’s prior experience includes working in physical therapy roles for 30 years in a variety of health care settings, including acute care, outpatient care, transitional care and homecare. She spent 16 years working with patients with complex conditions at MHealth Fairview University of Minnesota Medical Center in Minneapolis and eight years at Regency Hospital, also in the Twin Cities metro area.
Her education background includes earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Therapy at the University of Wisconsin, Madison.
Molenda describes her approach to providing health care: “I treat the whole patient and their support system, which may include family members and significant others. I educate patients in simple terms that they can understand.”
Molenda has two sons attending college; Owen is a freshman at the University of Wisconsin, Madison, and Miles is a junior at the University of Minnesota. Away from work, she enjoys biking, cooking and volunteering.
