Nurse anesthetist joins Riverwood

Kelly Anderson, a certified nurse anesthetist (CRNA), has joined Riverwood Healthcare Center’s surgical services provider team.

Anderson brings more than 20 years of anesthesia experience, including 14 years at Regions Hospital’s, a Level I Trauma Center in St. Paul, Minn., and eight years with South Valley Anesthesia at Regina Hospital in Hastings.

During her CRNA practice, she has developed specialty skills in spinal, regional and general anesthesia, including administering and monitoring epidural anesthesia for obstetric patients.

Anderson holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from the College of St. Catherine in St. Paul. She earned a master’s degree in Nurse Anesthesia at the Minneapolis School of Anesthesia.

Anderson shares her personal approach to medical care: “I believe in the teamwork model to help me treat each patient with compassion and to make them feel respected and confident about the care they are receiving. Every day I strive to treat my patients with the highest quality of holistic care.”

Anderson and husband, George, recently relocated to Emily from Hastings and have five adult children and eight grandchildren between them. She and her husband enjoy travel, and a range of motorsports including side-by-side off-road riding, motorcycle, snowmobiling and classic cars.
