Golf Charity Event

At long last, we can meet for our 2021 Golf Charity Event presented by Kraus-Anderson Construction Company. Join us July 16 at Minnesota National Golf Course in McGregor, Minnesota. Download the registration and sponsorship form for more details.

“We’re so excited to gather once again, enjoying the great outdoors while supporting local healthcare,” said Foundation Director Katie Nelson. “Our virtual golf tournament was a hit last year, but our golfers can’t wait to come together just like they have for more than 40 years.”

This year, the event will help replace and upgrade treatment chairs in the Riverwood Infusion Department. The new equipment will bring comfort to patients when they need it most, while undergoing multiple or lengthy treatments for cancer, autoimmune diseases and a variety of other conditions.

With heat, massage, footrests and convenient tables, the new reclining infusion chairs will improve patients’ experience. These chairs can also be sanitized between treatments, reducing the threat of infection.

Dave Kline has been battling cancer at Riverwood for more than three years. Over that time, he’s undergone nearly 100 infusion treatments of cancer-fighting drugs and antibiotics.

“The new chairs will go a long way to bring comfort to me and so many others in our community,” Dave said. “I think of the next person who hears the word ‘cancer’ or needs treatment for another condition. I want them to have the best care.”

Peg Lundberg relies on infusion treatments for osteoporosis. She wants people to know the variety of conditions that can be treated with infusions.

“The infusion therapy team is wonderful,” Peg said. “I know the people who have to be there for hours will love those new comfortable chairs.”
