Riverwood Healthcare Center is pleased to announce the appointment of Paula Emberland as its new Purchasing Manager. Emberland brings more than 15 years of combined experience in purchasing, finance, and accounting, along with a deep commitment to supporting healthcare operations in rural Minnesota.
With more than five years of purchasing experience in manufacturing and over 10 years in finance and accounting, Emberland has built a strong foundation in procurement, vendor relations, and financial oversight. In her new role, she will lead Riverwood’s purchasing functions and collaborate with departments across the organization to ensure efficient, cost-effective procurement that supports high-quality patient care.
Emberland holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Southwest Minnesota State University in Marshall, Minn. She shared that she is “looking forward to utilizing my education and professional experience to assist in the continued success and growth of Riverwood.”

A lifelong outdoor enthusiast, Emberland enjoys fishing, boating, and gardening. She and her husband, Dan, have two grown daughters and two grandchildren, and she values spending quality time with her family.
