Did you know?
Flu outbreaks in Minnesota typically occur between December and April. It takes about two weeks after vaccination for antibodies to develop, making early vaccination an important step in staying protected throughout the season.
For older adults and those with weakened immune systems, the response to vaccines may be slower or less robust, but vaccination still offers important protection against serious illness.
For more information about flu symptoms, prevention, and treatment, visit the Minnesota Department of Health or talk with your Riverwood primary care provider.
