Janelle Tepper, CRNA, Anesthesia Services Director
Riverwood Healthcare Center is pleased to introduce Janelle Tepper, certified registered nurse anesthetist (CRNA), as the new anesthesia services director to lead the hospital’s anesthesia team.
Most recently as CRNA manager, Tepper led a team of 18 CRNAs for St. Joseph’s Medical Center in Brainerd for the past 10 years. For the past few years, she has also provided anesthesia services at Riverwood Hospital in Aitkin.
Tepper brings a passion for servant leadership as well as continuous process improvement and is excited to work alongside our current CRNA team, surgeons, and surgery team,” said Carla Zupko, Riverwood’s chief nursing officer. “Her years of nursing and anesthesia experience are a terrific asset for our surgery team and patients.”
Tepper earned her Master’s degree in Nursing, specializing in anesthesia, and graduated with honors from the University of Minnesota, Minneapolis. She has certification as a CRNA from the National Board of Certification and Recertification for Nurse Anesthetists.
She describes her personal approach to medical care here: “Patients are at the very center of the care I give every day. Surgery and anesthesia may be an everyday event for me, but it’s not for my patients. I’ll do anything I can to put my patients at ease and being an advocate for them is at the forefront of that care. It is my honor to be able to serve this community.”
The Tepper family has made their home in the Brainerd lakes area for the past 14 years. Away from work, Janelle Tepper enjoys reading, building fishing rods, lake living, and a passion for classic cars and trucks.
