Same Day Clinic for Urgent Care Needs
When you need medical care quickly but it’s not a life-threatening emergency, Riverwood’s Same Day Clinic—located inside our Aitkin Clinic—offers another option. We encourage you to contact your primary care provider first when possible, but if scheduling or access is a barrier, our Same Day Clinic is here to help. You’ll be seen by a nurse practitioner or physician assistant for non-emergency illnesses, minor injuries, or other urgent health needs.
Our Same Day Clinic is available by appointment only. Appointments times vary. Please call ahead for current availability.
Appointments are available face-to-face or virtual care video visit.
Eligible Conditions
- Allergies – seasonal
- Asthma – mild flare ups
- Bacterial vaginitis
- Bronchitis
- Cold, cough, or flu
- Constipation
- Earache or ear pain
- Eye irritation or minor injury
- Fever
- Gastrointestinal illness (nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, stomachache)
- Genital discomfort (burning, itching, or discharge)
- Headache or migraine
- Hemorrhoids
- Possible sexually transmitted infection (STIs)
- Sinus issues
- Sore throat
- Tooth pain or possible infection
- Urinary tract infections (UTI)
- Vaginal bleeding
- Animal scratches or bites
- Musculoskeletal injuries (sprains, strains, or suspected broken bones
- Nosebleeds
- Foreign object/fishhook removal
- Incision and drainage of cysts or abscesses
- Minor skin lacerations needing cleaning and/or stitches
- Pregnancy testing
- Athlete’s foot
- Cold sores
- Diaper rash
- Fingernail or toenail infection
- Head lice
- Impetigo
- Insect bites
- Minor burns, including sunburns
- Poison Ivy rash
