Lisa Anderson, who works as a nursing assistant at Riverwood Healthcare Center, was selected as the 2016 recipient of a $2,000 scholarship established in memory of the late Roger D. Wilson. She is pursuing a registered nursing program at the University of Mary in Bismarck, ND.
The Roger D. Wilson Scholarship Fund, set up at Riverwood Foundation in 2014, makes financial awards to help ease the burden of tuition costs for aspiring students or healthcare professionals who are pursuing advanced healthcare training and nursing degrees. The Wilson family’s goal is to enhance the local healthcare workforce and to strengthen the health system serving the Aitkin County and Garrison communities and surrounding areas.
