With an extensive background in hospital nursing and special training in the care of children and older adults, Hauser is interested in all areas of family medicine, including educating patients and promoting health and wellness. She is also a certified urological nurse practitioner and enjoys working with men and women on urological issues.
Hauser’s medical philosophy is: “I believe everyone has the right to expect high quality health care, delivered by a knowledgeable, compassionate, health care provider.”
Hauser’s education background includes bachelor and master’s degrees in Nursing from the College of St. Scholastica, Duluth. She completed a portion of her nurse practitioner clinicals at Riverwood and has worked for the past five years in the urology area with CentraCare Adult and Pediatric Urology, seeing patients in Aitkin and Crosby.
“Cindy brings a wealth of experience, endless commitment to her patients and the community and a passion for caring for others,” says Dr. Mark Heggem, Riverwood chief medical officer. “She is a terrific addition to our Riverwood team of health care providers.”
Lifelong residents of the Aitkin/McGregor area, Cindy Hauser and her husband, Jeff, have five adult children: Amanda, Emily, Mary, Abigail and Lucas.
