Nurse Practitioner joins Riverwood McGregor Clinic

Nurse Practitioner Tyler Zuk

Riverwood Healthcare Center is pleased to introduce Nurse Practitioner Tyler Zuk, who joined the primary care staff at its McGregor clinic in January.

Growing up on a farm in Kettle River, Minn., Zuk earned his associate degree in nursing from Lake Superior College and went on to complete his master’s degree in nursing from Walden University. He became certified as a family nurse practitioner after completing clinical rotations at the Raiter Family Clinic in Cloquet.

Previously, Zuk worked for 10 years at Community Memorial Hospital in Cloquet, primarily in the intensive care unit and the emergency department. He started his career working as a nursing supervisor at Sunnyside Health Care Center in Cloquet.

In describing his personal approach to medical care, Zuk commented, “I look forward to personally connecting with patients from the community. I’m passionate about providing individualized care and ensuring that people understand their health to enable them to participate in prevention and management of specific conditions.”

Tyler Zuk and his wife, Amber, a speech pathologist, have two sons, ages 2 and 4, and are expecting a third child in May. Away from work, he enjoys hunting and fishing, hiking state parks with family, home improvement projects, and gardening and canning.
