Riverwood Healthcare Center welcomes Jeri Gilb, family nurse practitioner to its family practice medical staff. She will practice primarily at Riverwood’s McGregor clinic in collaboration with Dr. Tim Arnold and Nurse Practitioner Janet Larson.
Gilb brings more than 20 years of experience as a registered nurse in acute care, long- term care, home care and hospice settings, including doing case management and consultation. Her professional interests include the entire spectrum of family medicine plus women’s health and special populations. She received her bachelor of science degree in nursing from the College of St. Scholastica, and her master’s in nursing from Minnesota State University, Mankato.
“We are excited to welcome Jeri to our family medicine staff,” says Janet Larson, nurse practitioner who supervised Gilb’s training at Riverwood’s McGregor Clinic. “It was my pleasure to mentor her during her nurse practitioner clinical training here. Dr. Arnold and I look forward to working with her in a team approach to monitoring patients with chronic illnesses and follow-up care needs. “
In addition to seeing patients at the McGregor clinic, Gilb will occasionally see patients at Riverwood’s Aitkin and Garrison clinics as needed.
“I help people choose realistic healthcare goals, while promoting health and wellness that is individualized to them and their lifestyles,” Gilb says. “Riverwood’s commitment to and involvement in the community encourages healthy people and a strong community. That’s so important! I believe patient-centered care is paramount to health and wellness, and I see that in Riverwood’s approach to patients.”
Gilb grew up in Indiana but has lived in Minnesota since 1984. She lives in rural Brainerd with her husband Paul and has raised five sons. She enjoys reading, traveling, music and spending time with her family and two grandsons.
