Andrew Loveitt, DO
Riverwood Healthcare Center is pleased to welcome General Surgeon Andrew Loveitt, D.O., to its specialty care medical staff.
Dr. Loveitt is the fifth surgeon to join the Minnesota Institute for Minimally Invasive Surgery (MIMIS) in Aitkin and Crosby. He will practice with Dr. Tim LeMieur, Dr. Howard McCollister, Dr. Shawn Roberts and Dr. Paul Severson.
He will also join this team of physicians in providing care through the Minnesota Reflux and Heartburn Center (MRHC) at Riverwood and Cuyuna Regional Medical Center (CRMC). MRHC is a comprehensive, patient-centered initiative focused on providing a solution of testing and therapies for patients with gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), heartburn or esophageal symptoms.

He has been serving as a Surgical Fellow with MIMIS in Aitkin and Crosby since August 2017. He will complete his year-long fellowship of post graduate advanced surgical training in August and begin working as a surgeon in October.
Originally from Gorham, Maine, Dr. Loveitt earned his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree at the University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine in Biddeford, Maine. He earned his bachelor of science degree at Juniata College in Huntingdon, Penn. He completed a General Surgery residency at Rowan University in Stratford, New Jersey. Dr. Loveitt has won numerous academic awards, published several medical papers and served as a teaching assistant.
Outside of work, Dr. Loveitt enjoys many outdoor activities including kayaking, cycling and hiking. His wife, Courtenay Deane, D.O., is an osteopathic manipulative medicine physician who has been practicing at CRMC’s Crosby clinic on a part-time basis since late fall 2017.
