Patient testimonial on Lymphedema therapy

After Karen Perfect had cancer surgery, both her legs began retaining fluid and became very swollen. Dr. Tom Lawson diagnosed lymphedema and referred her for therapy at Riverwood’s rehabilitation department.

Dress in BLUE for Colon Cancer Awareness

Join your coworkers in dressing in BLUE for Colon Cancer awareness on Monday, March 5.  Riverwood is participating in a statewide campaign with other health systems.  Nicole Cook will take photos of small groups for posting on Facebook with the #MNBlue tag. Those of you who don’t have to wear uniforms are invited to wear your blue Riverwood t-shirt and JEANS as well.

We will hand out ASK ME WHY I’M BLUE stickers for you to wear. When asked, respond: “Today we are dressed in blue today to remind you that colon cancer is preventable. Get screened. Colonoscopy screening saves lives.”
