Cuyuna Regional Medical Center (CRMC) and Riverwood Healthcare Center (RHCC) are pleased to announce new podiatry services with the addition of Dr. Brad McCusker, podiatrist. Dr. McCusker will begin seeing patients in Aitkin and Crosby in early September.
“Dr. McCusker brings a high level of skill and knowledge to this specialty area of healthcare,” adds Mike Delfs, Riverwood chief operating officer. “We are pleased to add podiatry services to the specialty care that we offer our patients.”

Dr. McCusker has significant experience with the treatment of diabetic foot ulcers. In addition, his services will cover a wide range of foot problems, from bunions and calluses to foot infections. He will perform surgical procedures to correct foot problems such as bunions and hammertoes, as well as routine foot care.
Dr. McCusker obtained his B.A. degree from Minot State University from the Iowa Physician Assistant Program, and his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine degree from the College of Podiatric Medicine and Surgery in Des Moines. Board-certified in foot surgery, he has 19 years of experience in treating patients with a variety of foot problems. He has lived and provided foot care to the people of Minot, North Dakota, and Iowa City, Iowa.
“I love podiatry and pursue it like a hobby,” says Dr. McCusker. “I enjoy people and I’m looking forward to serving foot problems of the entire family in Northern Minnesota. I strive to do my best treating foot problems so that individuals can pursue their hobbies and activities with pain-free feet. “
A native of Iowa, Dr. McCusker’s family includes his wife, Chris, and two daughters, Magan (17) and Molly (14). The family currently resides in Iowa City and will be moving to the Aitkin/Crosby area soon. A personal family connection to this area is that his brother, Shawn McCusker, works as a pharmacist at Riverwood’s hospital in Aitkin.
Dr. McCusker enjoys playing golf and tennis, mountain biking, road biking, running, hiking, camping, traveling and playing cards/games with friends and family.
